[ ? ] Sensibility Sensibility is a new serie of experimental installations who will explore the area of emotions by using technology. Pushing forward all kinds of technology will not be the main goal but simple the way to create situations where the "audiance” can experience deeper layers of emotions. Monday 27 January- Odysseus Raft The Goddess Calypso provides Odysseus with the means and materials to construct a raft in order to sail homeward; however, Poseidon stands in his way. Odysseus Raft is a dynamic audio and visual environment controlled by the participants' relative position to each other. As in a raft, the audience is required to work together (or in opposition) to control a shared perspective of the sea... if not, the theatre could capsize and all hands lost. Ryan Parteka Monday 29 January - The Tulse Luper Suitcase. Who is Tulse Luper and what is this mystery about all those different suitcases he left behind?... This installation is based and inspired on Peter Greenaway’s new upcoming movie called “the Tulse Luper Suitcase”. The audiance will be dipped into his particular way of visual language, only this time the audiance will be the director. They are claiming back their original cultural identity, transmitted by their parents, and adapting it to the French way of life. What are the forms of expression today of a celebration which was once observed in discretion and silence? This is what this documentary sets out to observe, by following different generations of a family originating from the Maghreb during ramadan. |

2001: A Space Odyssey Monolith Society Version. Premiere of the alliance of DJ producer Chord Symbols and visual performers Digital Guerrilla. They united their music and visual skills to alter and edit samples taken from the movietrack. During a live sequence set they will use their databases as a unified powerfull force, as the Monolith Society, and introduce this cinema classic to the dance culture. Chord Symbols DJ producer Chord Symbols, known from dance-productions on record-labels as: EC, CC, Subspace and Ministry of Sound, combined with Digital Guerrilla in a special DIGITAL event. As one off the "Monolith society" crew Chord Symbols will make a special solo digital-dj appearance. Again is the computer his DJ set-up, Turntable, Mixer and Effects. Digital Guerrilla Check out this special digital event including guest appearances by: Apple G4 and Ableton's LIVE info Digital Guerrilla. For the Cuckoos Nest visual performers Digital Guerrilla hooked up with DJ Producer Chord Symbols in the alliance Monolith Society. Based in Rotterdam, Digital Guerrilla work throughout the Netherlands and Europe. State of Monc State of Monc's music scores at Cuckoo's Nest special Sunday Soundtrack event! State of Monc operates on the thin line that divides electronic music from a more acoustic approach. Integrating the rigid sound of computers with the flexibility of acoustic instruments. Acknowledged by an increasing fine establishment of international jazz trend watchers State of Monc is seen as the Dutch answer to Eric Truffaz - 'however more colorful', and Nils Petter Molvaer - 'only more exciting and raw' (Edo Dijksterhuis - NRC Handelsblad). Inspired by legendary experimental jazz musicians as Miles Davis, core State of Monc contributor's, which are Arthur Flink (trumpet), Hielke Praagman (button pusher and knob turner), Kasper Kalf (double bass), Paul de Jong (guitar) and Arthur Lijten (drums), presented their debut album 'Hand to Mouth' last year, which was a "heet broodje" for weeks in the hottest music stores everywhere. Sunday 26 January - sunday soundtrack While working on their second album (out this year!) State of Monc delivers a live music score during the first part of tonight's Cuckoo's Nest special event. The musicians accompany a fresh cut potpourri of uncomfortable and alienating yet amusing movie quotes. Through their sequence the images will tell a whole new story, thus creating an absurd unity. Beerenbroek+ Beerenbroek, not related, will collect and present the first visual part, Robert Beckand will accompany State of Monc's latter live gig with some iron strong visuals.
